Personalize search results by user preferences like brand, color, and size based on user profiles from your Customer Data Platform (CDP). Prefixbox’s Personalized Search combines the power of our AI Search Engine and re-ranks search results based on the personalization strategy you configure in the Prefixbox Admin Portal. Prefixbox doesn’t store any personally identifiable user information, so our personalized search complies with privacy regulations. Allow shoppers to turn off personalized results when they’re on the SERP in case they just want to shop the most relevant results.

Here you can see the product results for ‘sneakers’ are personalized to the shopper’s preference for women’s shoes in white.
Start personalizing search results as soon as shoppers focus into the Rich Autocomplete.
The shopper’s preference for women’s shoes in white is already apparent as soon as she focuses into the search bar.
Select the product attributes that are considered for personalization. Then decide the order of importance of these attributes. You can do this on Prefixbox Admin Portal.
For example, a shoe retailer might personalize results based on the following attributes in this order:
1. Size
2. Brand
3. Color
Search results that match all 3 parameters will appear at the top. If many results match the criteria, they will be ranked by search result relevancy.
Results will be re-ranked according to the table below when a shopper has a preference for:
1. Size: 35
2. Brand: Nike
3. Color: White
See the difference when results are personalized.
Merchandising rules take preference over personalization, so any search results boosted via Merchandising will not be impacted by Personalized Search.
Prefixbox will first display products boosted via Merchandising and then show the personalized search results below.
Personalized Search and AI Re-Ranking cannot both be applied at the same time.
When data from the CDP is available, results will be personalized and AI Re-Ranking won’t apply.
If data from the CDP is not available to personalize search results, then AI Re-Ranking will automatically be applied to ensure the most relevant, popular results are shown first.
