Euronics Hungary’s webshop is one of the most popular E-commerce sites in the country, with 4 million monthly visits. Euronics has 64 retail shops around Hungary. Euronics Hungary is part of Euronics International Group, which is present is 37 countries worldwide.
Euronics Hungary was not satisfied with the performance of their third-party site search engine and wanted to test another provider to see whether business KPIs could be improved.
Prefixbox offered an A/B test to demonstrate Prefixbox’s AI Search Engine capabilities against Euronics’ previous provider. The test concluded with Prefixbox generating a 13.4% increase in revenue.
Prefixbox conducted an A/B test on Euronics Hungary’s E-commerce website in 2024 June. Shoppers were split evenly (50-50%) into two random groups.
The control group was shows results from Euronics’ previous third-party search engine and autocomplete solution.
The treatment group was shown Prefixbox’s AI Search modules:
Shoppers presented with Prefixbox’s AI Search Engine generated 13.4% more revenue than those saw search results powered by Euronics’ previous solution. The revenue increase is based on sessions with searches.
Shoppers seeing Prefixbox’s AI Search modules made 13% more purchases than the control group, who was using the old site search engine and autocomplete.
Euronics Hungary, a leading E-commerce site with 4 million monthly visits was unsatisfied with their existing search engine. Prefixbox offered an A/B test to prove that Prefixbox AI Search could improve business KPIs.
Ultimately, the test demonstrated a 13.4% increase in revenue and a 13% increase in transactions for shoppers who were using Prefixbox’s AI Search modules, including Prefixbox AI Search Engine, Rich Autocomplete, Related Searches and Related Products.
